1. Introduction – U can fly free 2 example

2. Open an accounts with most major loyalty programs (Airlines and Hotels)

Airline programs (some airlines are transfer partners of American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest program):

Hotel Programs

3. Use AwardWallet to track all of your mileage accounts (AA and Southwest can’t be tracked by any program)

4. Credit Card bonus is the easiest and fastest way to accumulate Airline miles and Hotel points. A typical bonus can be 50,000 Airline miles equivalent to $1,000 in flying credit (depend on how you use the miles)

Here are some of the best credit card offers

If you fear of credit card applications and how they affect your credit scores, read credit card myth  and use free credit score websites such as creditkarma.com and creditsesame.com to track your scores.

5. Put all of your expenses (rent, utility bills, shopping, educational expenses) on your credit cards and then make sure to pay them off each month or you will pay more interest than the value of points accrued. Use cash only when you absolutely have to!

6. Stay update on current trends by reading my blogs or follow me on Twitters

Here are four other blogs that I read their posts everyday

There are two travel forums with the most useful travel tips information: Flyertalk.com and Milepoint.com. Flyertalk has thousands of pages and detail about anything travel/miles/points related but not user-friendly. Milepoint is very user-friendly but the information is not very deep at this point.

7. Accumulating points is not easy but redeeming points at the best value is very rewarding. Read some of my posts about how best to redeem your points

Use United miles and credit card to fly from US – Stop in Europe for a few months – continue on to Asia – back to the US for around $200.

Or Get a free domestic round-trip ticket/a one-way to Mexico-Caribbean-Hawaii after flying both ways to Vietnam/China/India on AA

Or American Airline discount from 5% to 20% for most US/Canada destination cities

Or Use Korean Airline miles to fly to Mexico/Hawaii and Chase Sapphire Preferred bonus equal two economy tickets to Alaska

8.  Make a goal and work to achieve it

My goal is pretty simple: fly home once a year and fly around the US for free
